I Built You a Chapel

Your head lay heavy on my breast.
Your voice warm against my bareness.
You say
“The Lord commanded man to rest
On the seventh day, so
I’ve brought my sinner’s soul to this bed,
I’ve brought my weary soul
To You.”
I, in return, take it gently, and give
You rest.
Some chapels are made of two arms.
