Small and Simple

Today, I cleaned my kitchen, and I made a meal,

I did small and simple things like

Hold my husband and sit still.

Today, I wrote this little poem,

And listened to music that made me weep.

I accomplished nothing mighty,

I succeeded in no great feats,

But today, I nourished the soul that makes up me.
